When it comes to boots I've always been something of a traditionalist. By that I mean I prefer manly type shoes and boots and in boots, I always figured 8" high work boots were the best for hunting, fishing, outdoor stuff. I didn't buy them for hunting, I prefer L.L Beans traditional rubber bottom-leather top boots for that. However, I am pleasantly surprised with these new hiking boots. They have a great fit, feeling like they are offering the support I need for walking, with a Non-marking Omni-Grip outsole and "compression-molded EVA midsole" for comfort all day long. I've only been wearing them for a day, but already they feel comfortable and I am hooked. I like the top hooks for speed lacing, making taking them on and off a little quicker. The ankle support is great and again, as much as I hate to admit it, I think the ankle support is better than my traditional work boots.
